Sclater?s Love Shack is a brilliant read, taking you through a turbulent mix of emotions; from love and loss to rape and murder. The book starts of by painting a fascinating picture of how difficult life can be throughout generations of the same family. The main character, Liam Reilly, faces losing his family over his addiction to alcohol. Liam has to hit rock bottom before realising that distance is the only option when seeking to protect his family from his nasty and dangerous habits. Such distance soon introduces a new way of life elsewhere in Europe, where Liam gats the chance to start his own venture within the Red Light district of Amsterdam. Unfortunately, this venture is under the close eye of a mob boss. With each chapter named after a song, this book plays a truly captivating soundtrack to Liam Reilly?s life, and leaves you wanting more.

I could not put this book down. The intricate details exposed in each chapter are vibrant, but not for the faint-hearted. Love Shack captures the emotion that Sclater manages to infuse all of his books with, drawing a raw vision to the side of life that would otherwise go unheard of.

Thank you Grayham, for such a magical adventure of a book!

"Hatred Is the Key" is a unique and previously untold account of the War of 1812 and its aftermath for all sides. It should be a part of every American History and Great Lakes History class in the United States. I was pleased to review it and look forward to the possibility of it becoming a first rate film.
